Principle of Rainbows

虹は，大気中に浮かんだ微小な水滴の中で， 太陽の光が屈折されて生じます． 主虹の一部（上図の丸）を拡大してみると， 空気中に多数の水滴が浮遊しています． 太陽の光は水滴の中で下図のように屈折され， また紫の光より赤の光の方が少しだけ大きめの角度で屈折します． その結果，主虹では，内側から， 　紫　 　藍　 　青　 　緑　 　黄　 　橙　 　赤　 の順に色が並びます．
When there are many drops of water in the air, the refracted sunlight at a surface of them produces rainbow. Paths of light rays in a drop of water are explained as figures show below. A violet light is refracted more than a red light. Thus, colors of primary rainbows are formed from inside as follows, 　Violet 　Blue 　Green 　Yellow 　Orange 　Red
